Hi, I’m Christina.
I’m a strategic marketing and communications advisor and the founder of Purple Bean Consulting.
For more than two decades I’ve worked across marketing strategy, communications and digital marketing – for brands as well as and agency-side – helping organisations strengthen their market position, connect with their audiences and drive sustainable growth.
My career has taken me across Europe, the UK, North America, Africa and Asia-Pacific, working with organisations such as Canon, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Apptio (an IBM company) and Minderoo Foundation. Much of my work has been in B2B, technology, professional services, not-for-profit and advertising, supporting organisations of different sizes and stages of growth.
Today I’m based in Perth, Western Australia, working with organisations locally and internationally.
How I Work
Marketing is evolving rapidly. New technologies – including artificial intelligence – are changing how organisations analyse markets, create content, engage customers and measure performance.
At the same time, leadership teams are under increasing pressure to ensure that marketing activity supports real business outcomes.
My role is to help organisations navigate this complexity and use marketing more strategically.
I bring an outside-in perspective, combining market insight, audience understanding and practical marketing experience to identify what will genuinely move the needle. This might involve clarifying positioning, strengthening marketing strategy, improving campaigns and content, or helping organisations adapt their marketing capabilities to new technologies and changing customer expectations.
While AI and data-driven tools can provide powerful insights and efficiencies, strong marketing still depends on human judgement, creativity and a deep understanding of people. My focus is on helping organisations combine these elements in a way that strengthens both marketing performance and brand integrity.
My Approach
My approach combines strategic thinking with practical implementation.
I’m as comfortable working with leadership teams on strategy as I am rolling up my sleeves to help bring initiatives to life – whether that’s developing a marketing plan, shaping campaigns or coordinating projects with specialist partners.
Over the years I’ve worked with organisations ranging from international corporates to smaller businesses and not-for-profits. This experience has given me a broad perspective and the ability to adapt quickly to different environments.
At the heart of my work is a simple principle: marketing should serve the business. The goal is not to do more marketing for its own sake, but to focus on the activities that will genuinely support growth and meaningful engagement with your audience.
